Job Purpose: This position is responsible for evaluating and testing software programs to verify that programs function according to specifications and standards by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*Tests software programs to compare to specifications and documentation.
*Identifies, analyzes, and documents defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, online screens, and content.
*Creates test cases and test data.
*Responds to inquiries from users regarding functions and operations of software programs.
*Recommends program improvements or revisions to programmers.
*Coordinates user testing.
*Assists users to isolate possible problems in software following release and/or implementation.
*Documents, tracks, and communicates test plans, test results, analysis, and unresolved problems.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one to two years related experience and/or training; Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:
• The QA Lead will own the Software Quality Assurance process
• You will participate in all stages of the software development life cycle
• You must be comfortable developing tests, test cases, test data, and refining requirements
• You will be expected to take the initiative to devise innovative ways to define and continually improve the QA process, and take advantage of industry best practices, tools and technologies to accelerate productivity
• You will be expected to monitor, maintain, and provide reports for bug tracking and defect resolution to the team and management and to assist in process improvement in these areas
• You will be expected to manage an external beta testing process, including communications, logistics, and support
• You will direct and manage additional QA staff
• When necessary, you will be expected to assist other team members in technical or sales support

Experience Required:

• A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a Software Quality Assurance environment
• At least 2 years in a QA leadership position
• Experience in creating, executing and maintaining manual and automated test procedures for integration, system, regression and user acceptance testing
• Experience with life-cycle software development: requirements, specification, design, testing, implementation, debugging, and support
• Experience managing others
• Ability to work independently in a small development group with minimal supervision
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Strong Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh background
• Ability to administer bug tracking systems
• A healthy obsession for process and metrics
• Ability to lead and coordinate additional SQA resources

QA Tester

This is a multi-year contract position with an excellent organization in Columbus, Ohio.

We are seeking a consultant with a strong background in chemistry (preferably organic) and who hopefully has some research/lab work with Development environments ranging from legacy (C++) to current (Java/J2EE/WebLogic/Sybase) environments.

Required Experience:
*Degree in Computer Science or related discipline; or equivalent QA experience needed. Ideally, the candidate should have at least three solid years of QA experience.
*Knowledge of chemistry
*Excellent attention to detail, independent, good communication skills required.
*Experience with writing test cases and test plans within an iterative software development environment (Rational Unified Process). Familiarity with Use Cases.
*Experience with automated testing software, including the conversion of manual test procedures to automated testing; specifically, the Mercury Interactive Tools.
*Experience with problem authority and/or defect tracking software.
*QA of applications that include client (web and Java).
*Worked within the Unified Process development methodology and derived test cases and plans from UP use case artifacts.
*Managed multiple QA efforts that present concurrent deliverables
*Worked within a team environment that includes developers, architects, project management, RA’s, and sponsors.

Nice to Haves:
Prior background in development and/or requirements analysis a desired trait. QA has close ties and working relationships with Requirement’s Analysts.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 plus a full benefits package.

Brooksource a Midwestern IT Services company located here in Columbus, OH is searching for a Performance Testing Analyst to work with development groups and project teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of performance testing cycles. This candidate will create scripts that when executed will confirm the throughput and scalability of the application/system. This individual should possess strong knowledge of service oriented architecture and development of web services in a large environment. This position requires the use of automated testing, workflow management, and defect tracking tools that support testing application/system changes. Quality Assurance Tester

Quality Assurance Test Program Manager

Role and Responsibilities:
· Create test strategy, schedule, and estimate of testing effort, working closely with appropriate project and support resources.
· Oversee the efforts of the test leads with in the program, ensuring that their efforts are in accordance with in accordance with requirements, test plan & design documents and follow project and testing standards
· Mentor and onboard new test leads
· Estimate test-related workloads, defect density and quality readiness activities.
· Work closely with peers, business management, development and project management during peer reviews, technical briefings and status meetings.
· Provide leadership for defect management. Work closely with development teams to identify and analyze software defects in a teamwork spirit.
· Coordinate with other peer test program managers to address and perform system tests on all interfaces and interdependencies with other applications.
· Work closely with the IT team and Business Users to support the development of test cases in conjunction with testing level requirements
