Location: Columbus, OH
Role and Responsibilities:
· Create test strategy, schedule, and estimate of testing effort, working closely with appropriate project and support resources.
· Oversee the efforts of the test leads with in the program, ensuring that their efforts are in accordance with in accordance with requirements, test plan & design documents and follow project and testing standards
· Mentor and onboard new test leads
· Estimate test-related workloads, defect density and quality readiness activities.
· Work closely with peers, business management, development and project management during peer reviews, technical briefings and status meetings.
· Provide leadership for defect management. Work closely with development teams to identify and analyze software defects in a teamwork spirit.
· Coordinate with other peer test program managers to address and perform system tests on all interfaces and interdependencies with other applications.
· Work closely with the IT team and Business Users to support the development of test cases in conjunction with testing level requirements
· Work closely with the Business Systems Analyst and Business Unit
Representatives to understand business processes and develop concrete User Acceptance Test criteria
· Provide direction regarding the use of methods & tools for developing a comprehensive/repeatable set of test case for various applications to insure the thorough
· Facilitate communication of issue resolution between IT and the
Business Unit to ensure adequate regression testing of any impacted functionality
· Lead regularly scheduled Test Status Meetings
· Publish testing schedule; log testing defects, identify/implement solutions and monitor progress through to implementation, providing regular status.
· Support the reporting of key testing statistics related to test design, execution and pass/fail results. Collect and report on Test Issue and Defect Tracking information.
Required skills:
· Proven experience as Test Manager for large projects (7-10 years minimum)
· Proven experience with Integration and System Test leadership related to multiple interface, enterprise wide systems
· In depth knowledge of software test methodologies
· Experience with different software testing techniques
· Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and writing skills
· Good presentation, communication and influencing skills.
· Attention to detail
· Ability to work in a Matrix Project organization with HR Reporting to Quality Assurance Manager and Day to Day Activities/Project Reporting to the Program Manager
· Ability to work in multi-team environment and communicate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and from all levels of the organization.
· Ability to interact and communicate with the business users & provide value-add to the application delivery process.
· Exhibits integrity in all decisions and actions
· Ability to solve complex issues in given time.
· Proficient in MS Office Suite
· Proficient in use of Quality Center.
