This candidate will create scripts that when executed will confirm the throughput and scalability of the application/system. This individual should possess strong knowledge of service oriented architecture and development of web services in a large environment. This position requires the use of automated testing, workflow management, and defect tracking tools that support testing application/system changes. Candidate must possess strong familiarity with performance testing methodologies and testing of application/systems. Experience as a lead to coordinate and execute testing activities for assigned projects, would be a plus. A thorough understanding of IT concepts and structured development life cycle is required. Strong analytical and communication skills will also be required. Experience with testing business applications required. Brooksource a Midwestern IT Services Company located here in Columbus is searching for an Automated Quality Assurance Analyst to join a growing QA group here in Columbus, OH. We are looking for individuals to write VBscript code to automate functional testing applications (client-server, web etc.) with the Mercury Quality Center, especially within QTP (Quick Test Pro). This group consists of two lead architects designing the framework and a QA at the moment but they are looking to add another individual to their group. The role will be creating Business and Control Functions out of XML repositories using VBscript and MySql so a strong development background is required (not just QA testers). We are searching for individuals who are looking for a full time permanent opportunity.

Requirements:
3-7 years of automated testing experience
2-5 years of the Mercury Interactive Suite/Quality Center
3-7 years of QTP (Quick Test Pro)
WinRunner
Experience with QA methodologies and techniques
Proficient in VBscript- Control Functions and Business Functions
Experience with training/mentoring of staff new to using automated tools.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
SQL or MySql experience would be a plus
Oracle Database experience

Responsibilities:
Creates, maintains, optimizes, runs, and analyzes automated scripts and results; documents test results and defects; validates status of corrected defect
Reports test results and metrics
Practices and supports automated test methodologies
Mentors less experienced team members
Adheres to QA processes and procedures
