Overview
OCLC Online Computer Library Center, Inc. is a nonprofit, membership, computer library service and research organization dedicated to the public purposes of furthering access to the world’s information and reducing information costs. Tens of thousands of libraries around the world use OCLC services to locate, acquire, catalog, lend and preserve library materials. We are currently seeking candidates for a Software Developer position at our Corporate Headquarters in Dublin, Ohio.
Responsibilities
Must be detail-oriented and able to follow written instructions
Must be willing to learn
Ability to multi-task and work on different projects is very important
Need technical expertise for following written bug reports and new features descriptions
Must have good writing ability to write detailed steps to reproduce
Must have excellent computer skills
Must have excellent written communications skills
Must be punctual and work the agreed-upon hours (20 hours/week)
Adaptable, able to take on a variety of tasks
Qualifications
Must have one or more years of college with a major/minor in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or similar degree program
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree
Must have good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in small project teams with a positive can-do attitude
Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and organize projects
